What is the Spooky Scary Skeletons AI Dance trend, and where did it start?

"Spooky, Scary Skeletons" is a 1996 Halloween song by Andrew Gold that became an internet meme in the 2010s and has come back on TikTok every October since 2019. The 2026 version is an edit: a character in a black vampire cape dancing in front of a huge orange full moon, bats and jack-o’-lanterns on a dark hill. Anime characters came first in early October, then how-tos showed people how to put their own face on the vampire. RemixMeme recreates that moonlit scene shot for shot with your face and hair on the dancer — the full Victorian costume, the cape that opens like wings, and no fangs or blood.
