What this template does

The squishy face AI trend turns one photo of your face into a glossy, jelly-like silicone head lying on a table.

What is the Squishy Face AI Trend trend, and where did it start?

Squishy faces started as an AI ASMR niche in March 2026. An Instagram account called Oddly Pressed, whose bio said "All content is artificial and non-human", posted top-down clips of glossy silicone faces on wooden tables being kneaded by two hands, and had 55,300 followers by mid-March.

Photo requirements for Squishy Face AI Trend

• Face the camera. A straight-on close-up, from the top of the head to the chin, works best: the template turns exactly that view into a face lying on a table.
• Show your hair. Your hair, beard and skin tone are what make the squishy look like you.
• A calm face is enough. The template gives the squishy a soft, relaxed look before the hands come in.
• Even light, in focus, no sunglasses, no hands or phone in front of the face.
• One person only.

Troubleshooting Squishy Face AI Trend

• --- — ---
• The squishy looks less like you — Use a sharper photo, straight on, with your hair in view. Then run it again.
• The face stays squashed at the end — The prompt asks for a slow bounce back, but some takes run out of time. Run it again or pick Best.
• A hand has an extra finger — Hands are hard for AI video. Run it again.
