What is the Closer Dance AI trend, and where did it start?

"Closer" is a 2008 single by Ne-Yo from the album *Year of the Gentleman*. Its chorus line "I just can't stop" became the caption of the whole trend. The Closer dance meme origin is one reel.

Photo requirements for Closer Dance AI

Photo 1 is the one who waits on the path and pulls down the sunglasses. Photo 2 is the one who sprints in, raises a hand and grabs the other's jaw. Both of you dance the face-off.
Use a sharp photo with the face turned to the camera, in good light. Head to knees works best: the reel has close-ups and full-body shots.
Your clothes come from your photos. Your own sunglasses are optional: the video brings a pair for the pull-down.
No sunglasses on the face in the photo, no mask, no beauty filter, and only one person per photo.
This template is for adults. Use photos of yourself and of an adult who agreed. Never a celebrity, a stranger or a child.

Troubleshooting Closer Dance AI

--- — ---
One of you looks like a dancer from the reel in one shot — The reel has 12 fast cuts. Use sharp, front-facing photos with the face big in the frame, then run it again.
Blond hair or a beard shows up that you do not have — The original dancers have them. The prompt bans them unless your photo shows them; run it again.
The sunglasses stay on the face — They are a prop for the pull-down. Run it again with a photo that has no glasses on.

How Closer Dance AI differs from common face-swap templates

RemixMeme uses a site-locked catalog prompt for Closer Dance AI — upload and generate; you do not paste a third-party prompt.

This page is a two-subject skit or duet — not a random kitchen face-swap paste unless that is the meme itself.

Babies and unauthorized celebrity likenesses are out of scope — adults 18+ with photo rights only.
