What this template does

The Earth zoom out is a short video that starts on a close, wide-angle selfie and pulls back in one unbroken camera move: you shrink to a dot, the city spreads out, the clouds pass

What is the Earth Zoom Out AI trend, and where did it start?

The idea is much older than AI. Charles and Ray Eames made *Powers of Ten* in 1977: it opens on two people on a picnic blanket in Chicago and pulls back ten times farther every ten seconds, out past the Earth.

• Fall 2019A YouTube video zooming out from Germany through the Milky Way goes up; it later seeds a TikTok meme.

Photo requirements for Earth Zoom Out AI

• Face the camera. The first frame has you looking up into the lens.
• One person only. With two faces the model may pick the wrong one or blend them.
• Skip hats and big sunglasses if you want to be recognized in the first second, before you shrink to a dot.
• If you already have a real 0.5x selfie taken from above, you can still run it through the photo step. It sets up the plaza and the sky the video prompt expects.
• Use your own photo or one of an adult who agreed to it.

Troubleshooting Earth Zoom Out AI

• --- — ---
• The video cuts to a new scene halfway — Generate again, and keep "one continuous take with no cuts" as the first words of the prompt.
• The camera stops at the clouds and never reaches space — Try 12 seconds instead of 10 in AI Video; the extra time lets the climb finish.
• Your face changes in the first second — Use a sharper photo, and check the still before you animate it. The video keeps what the still shows.
